This is my first post. How exciting! I don't know how often I'll blog, or how insightful I'll be, but I'm doing it! I'll probably be doing a lot of rambling and a lot of ranting...you know, fun stuff. But it probably all will have to do with JESUSSSS! cause He's my favorite.
This first post will just be a little about me (so you can feel like we're real life friends) and then a lot about what Jesus has called me to do!
I'm 18, in college, studying nursing (slightly regret majoring in this. so. much. work.), I say I hardly sleep, but I probably sleep a good amount for a college student. I have 2 fabulous parents, and an older sister and brother (Brothers engaged, new sissy on the way!). I kinda like to think I have the best life ever and I try not to complain a lot about it because I've seen much worse. Umm, I go to Bay Area Fellowship in Corpus Christi, TX. It's done more for me and my walk with Jesus more than anything else (except my parents, I was blessed by an awesome upbringing). I'm an intern at BAF and I help out at our Westside campus which has opened my eyes in so many ways. (I'm sure you'll be hearing more about that.) I love the color YELLOW, I want to travel, my favorite animals are dolphins, kangaroos, & horses (but I'll say every animals my favorite animal), and God has placed Human Trafficking on my heart.
I have this....obsession (can't think of the word I'm looking for!) with FREEDOM. It's so powerful. Although I'm more drawn towards the obvious Human Trafficking side of freedom, freedom is so universal because we all need it. Jesus came for our freedom. The Cross is Freedom. The Cross is countless second chances. The Cross changes everything. You see, we're all slaves. Everyone who sins is a slave to that sin (John 8:34). I don't know about you, but I sin daily. I sin without even thinking about it. Lucky for us, we have Jesus. ALL THE TIME.
"If the Son sets you free, you are TRULY FREE" John 8:36
I could talk about freedom forever and I haven't even got to the Human Trafficking part to it yet. However, I feel like I'm about to fall asleep typing sooo I'm just gonna go to sleep. So, if none of this makes sense, you can blame school for making me get up so early. :) You'll be hearing from me very soon because I'm all sorts of fired up now! Goodnight friends!
